Inigo Pascual to star alongside Susan Sarandon in FOX's "Monarch"
17 Sep – It was revealed that Inigo Pascual has been cast in the upcoming Fox musical drama, "Monarch".
The singer-actor, and son of actor-producer Piolo Pascual will be playing the role of 18 year-old Ace Grayson, the adopted son of Nicky and Clive Roman of the Roman country music family.
His character is described as "talented and sensitive" and "a phenomenal singer with real swagger on stage, and dreams of being a country star".
Expressing his happiness with the good news, Inigo posted on Instagram, "THE NEWS IS OUT! CRAZIEST BIRTHDAY."
According to Deadline, the show revolves around the Romans, headed by the insanely talented, but tough as nails Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman (Susan Sarandon). Along with her beloved husband, Albie (Trace Adkins), Dottie has created a country music dynasty.
"But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicolette 'Nicky' Roman (Anna Friel) will stop at nothing to protect her family's legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom," the article added.
