This Inflatable Pool Tube Has a Water Gun Attached for Some Summer Competition
Just when we thought that the motorized pool tube and lounger were the best things to happen to our summer fun, Swimline is bringing competition to the water. The UFO Spaceship Squirter combines two things that make the warm weather a blast: Pool floats and water guns.
The 45-inch pool float has a retro spaceship design, with a backrest and headrest for comfy cruising. The squirter is attached to the front of tube and has a handle that you’ll squeeze to shoot water at your opponent. Unlike with regular water guns, you’ll have an endless supply of water since it uses the very water you’re sitting on.
“Made from heavy gauge vinyl, this retro single pilot inflatable is equipped with a constant supply squirt gun for protection from dangerous extraterrestrials. The oversized arm and head rest make this rideable look like the command helm of a formidable spaceship,” the description says.
The UFO Spaceship Squirter is available on Amazon for $26.20. It has a weight capacity of 140 pounds, so it’s ideal for keeping the kids busy in the pool. Out of over 1,600 reviews, it has an average of 4.2 out of 5 stars. The biggest complaint was that it takes a while to inflate.
“The kids enjoyed them almost more so than the slow motorized kind, because by being able to kick off the wall it’s a strong[er] force than the motorized kind. Spray guns work but we also have a smaller sized pool,” one buyer wrote.
The takeaway here is that you shouldn’t expect the water gun to have the power of a Super Soaker, but it’ll certainly add some fun to your pool that doesn’t involve yelling out “Marco” or “Polo.”
