If "Back Here" is still your go-to karaoke song, listen up, because British boy band BBMak- a.k.a. Mark Barry, Christian Burns, and Stephen McNally-are giving it another shot.
The band broke up in 2003, but seeing other bands like the Backstreet Boys come back to make new music inspired them.
Burns told People, "Back in the day we were like brothers, and we’re dear friends still to this day because we’ve stayed in touch. We’ve seen some of the other bands come back and having a good time performing, and we missed it."
They hinted at a reunion back in April when they posted a video jamming to their classic pop ballad "Back Here."
While fans can expect the boy band to continue playing their old hits like "Ghost of You and Me" and "Still on Your Side," the group also has new songs and tour dates on the way. “Our sound is guitar-driven, three-part harmonies and that just fits in with the rest of our repertoire,” Burns said. “We haven’t changed our sound drastically - maybe a little bit - so the new songs definitely fit in with all the old stuff.”
BBMak is set to play shows this November in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in preparation for their North American tour in March 2019. Tickets will be on sale starting Friday, August 31, 2018.
