It's never been easier to refresh your home with your favorite IKEA products. The Swedish retailer just announced that its newly updated app is now shoppable. Previously, the IKEA app functioned as an in-store companion. But with the upgrade, you can directly buy products through it for home delivery or in-store pickup.

Even better, the app has a brand new design that makes it so easy to navigate. It also features an inspirational feed of product recommendations, engaging content, and campaigns. Plus, you have the option of personalizing your feed by selecting your favorite products. The app also lets you create a profile and access your digital IKEA Family card.

"At IKEA, we are on a journey to transform the way we meet our customers, and the IKEA app is an important step we’ve taken to become more accessible and convenient to the many,” Umesh Sripad, chief digital officer of IKEA U.S., said in a press release. "One of the reasons customers enjoy visiting IKEA is to get shopping ideas and inspiration, and the shoppable app makes it possible for them to get inspired and complete their purchase from the convenience of their mobile device."

In 2019, the app launched in Sweden, France, the Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Spain, Canada, and Japan. And it looks like it's been super popular, because it's been downloaded by 4.9 million users so far.
