The second Greggs releases its festive menu, the UK lets out a unanimous squeal of joy.

Yes, we love the Christmas lunch sandwich, we’re bananas for the tubs of pigs in blankets, and we could eat mince pies until we burst. But the main reason we go giddy for Greggs’ Christmas menu is its Festive Bake. The minute we bite into one of those tasty bad boys, it’s officially Christmas.

So, imagine our joy when we heard that Iceland was bringing back its frozen version this year!

In case you didn’t know, the bakes feature chicken breast, sage and onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce – all encased in golden puff pastry case with a crunchy crumb topping.

The supermarket has done us a favour again this year and started selling a frozen version so we can stock up our freezers and never leave the house again. Apart from to replenish the freezer with more Festive Bakes, obviously…

As well as these, Iceland also sells a number of other frozen versions of Greggs treats, including sausage rolls, pork pies, cheese and onion bakes, and steak and cheese rolls.

And all you have to do with the range is stick them in the oven straight from frozen. So simple!

The Festive Bakes come in packs of two, and cost £2 a pack, or you can get three for a fiver. So, we recommend you stock up so you can have Festive Bakes all year round. Because a Christmas dinner in a puff pastry case isn’t just for Christmas… it’s for life.
