Hubert Wu wants balance in career

6 Aug – Entering his 30s this year, Hubert Wu is determined to find a balance when it comes to his career.

In an interview with Mingpao, the singer stated that he used to have a Buddhist mentality when it comes to work and rumours surrounding himself, that is he will do his best when it comes to work but pays no heed to scandals.

"But at 30, I realise that a man should have a stand. I am the kind of man who is not comfortable with the status quo and unwilling to be ordinary. I am competitive and refuse to lose."

"The advantage of this is I would continuously progress, but the disadvantage is that I am too focused on winning and losing, that I sometimes ignore the process and feelings that comes into it. So now I try to strike a balance," he said.

However, the singer confessed that he is not comfortable with the idea of being satisfied at where he is at the moment.

"Right now, I want to take advantage of the opportunities. I want to try new things and make new attempts. Maybe when I am 40, I would be lucky to have a family, and then I will pursue a more stable life with my wife and kids," he said.
