Huang Xiaoming denies stock manipulation

21 Aug – Huang Xiaoming has recently released a statement denying that he is involved in a stock manipulation scandal.

As reported on Epoch Times, rumours of Huang's involvement sparked last week, when the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) issued a statement detailing the illegal scheme conducted by Shenzhen-listed Jinghua Pharmaceutical Group through 16 stock trading accounts, with one of the accounts supposedly held by Huang.

In a response released soon after, Huang's studio stated that there is no truth to the rumours at all, and that it had been created by people with ulterior motives.

The studio also stressed that the actor is not familiar with the man surnamed Gao, who was alleged to be the person responsible for the transactions, and that he has never received any amount of money from the company.

"We urge the relevant parties to delete these false news. We reserve the right to pursue legal action," the studio added.
