Hu Ge has yet to find the reason for his survival

24 May – Hu Ge rarely talks about the accident that nearly killed him 12 years ago, that is until recently, when he opened up about the tragedy in an interview for the talk show, "Readers".

As reported on Epoch Times, the actor who was severely injured in the car accident that happened back in 2006, shared that the reason why he didn't talk about it much is because he didn't want to be defined by the tragedy.

"Everybody kept saying how brave it was that I was able to survive the accident. But I didn't need to hold on to that," he said.

Hu stated that he was also inspired by the quote from his 2015 hit drama, "Nirvana in Fire", in which a character said, "You survived. Don't waste your life away."

"I believe I survived because I was meant to do something, or that there may be something that I have to complete. But in the last 12 years, I still don't know what is that I have to do," he said.

Hu added that while people might say that he has done well for himself 12 years after the accident, he still doesn't believe that was the reason why he survived.
