Hu Ge denies rekindled romance with Xue Jianing
8 Jun – Hu Ge has recently denied rumours that he and ex-girlfriend Xue Jianing are now back together.
As reported on Epoch Times, rumours of the two stars rekindling their romance sparked after eagle-eyed netizens noticed that the actor had attended the musical of "The Orphan of Zhao" - which is also Xue's first foray into stage musical.
Several photos also circulated online of Hu sitting in the audience at the musical and trying to blend in with others by hiding behind his face mask and a hat. There was also another photo of him taking a group photo with the cast and standing near Xue.
When reached out for comments, Hu's manager dismissed the notion of the two getting back together, saying that Hu was at the performance to support the musical director, who is his friend of many years.
"The group picture happened because the director called him on stage. Sorry for sparking unnecessary speculations," the manager added.
Hu and Xue started dating in 2006 and ended the relationship three years later. It is known that the actor was deeply affected by the breakup, seeing that Xue stuck with him when he was involved in a car accident in 2006 that nearly ended his life.
