This Cooling, Anxiety-Reducing Blanket Will Change Your Life
Weighted blankets have been the home item to buy for a while now, making for perfect holiday and birthday gifts during the colder winter months. Few things are as cozy as cuddling up under one of them and nestling by the fire, but if we're talking here and now-summer 2019-that doesn't mean weighted blankets aren't still cool.
This I mean literally, because Hush Blankets, which claims to sell the "best weighted blanket for sleep and anxiety" has just announced a cooling and sleep-inducing version of its classic Hush Blanket that's now available for pre-order.
The Hush Iced Blanket, as it's known, is available in twin ($199), queen ($219), and king ($239) sizes-the first two are available in 15, 20, and 25 pounds, while the largest can be ordered in 20 and 25 pounds. Because it's meant to cool you while also giving you the sensation of being hugged, the blanket cover is made from a blend of sweat-wicking bamboo and soft cotton while the inner blanket-the weighted portion-is made of a microfiber material and non-toxic glass sand (the weight).
This makes it perfect for getting the same anxiety and stress reducing experience a weighted blanket gives, but makes it comfortable for use if you're a sweaty sleeper or you just want to use it in the warmer months. Either way, this thing is pretty genius and I can't wait to get my hands on one-both because I'm a hot sleeper and I need to be cuddled in the summertime (Fine...always! Don't judge me).
