The Horror! Warner Bros. Unearths Scary Props From 'The Exorcist,' 'Gremlins,' 'Elm Street' for Halloween

Legend has it that there is a spot on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, Calif., known as the Rose Garden that features a special guest star: the spectral Lady in White. Cast and crew members, security guards, and other late-night visitors to the storied studio have seen this mysterious apparition wandering the grounds, steps away from the sets and stages where such fright flicks as Gremlins, The Lost Boys, House of Wax, The Conjuring 2, and Monster Squad were shot. Lucky (or is that unlucky?) souls who visit the studio this Friday and Saturday as part of Warner Bros. inaugural Horror Made Here tour will have the chance to walk through the Rose Garden and perhaps have a chance encounter with the Lady in White — or the other spirits that supposedly haunt the lot.

The two-night-only Halloween-themed event (get more info) also includes a rare peek at scary props unearthed from the studio vaults and a behind-the-scenes twilight visit to key horror sets around the lot, narrated by guides well-versed in the ghostly lore that’s not part of the usual tour. The stops include the soundstage where Conjuring 2 was filmed, which was blessed by an exorcist to keep out the evil forces. But according to the investigators at Ghost Watch Paranormal, the prayers didn’t take; the team will be on hand for Horror Made Here and present their evidence of strange goings on inside the studio. Yahoo Movies got an early visit; click through to see some of the spookiest things on display.
