SINGAPORE — Hong Kong's God of Songs, pop superstar Jacky Cheung, will perform for six nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium over two weekends in July.

His upcoming tour is titled 'The Jacky Cheung 60+ Concert Tour' and will kick off in Macau on 6 June before making its way to Singapore as its second stop.

On why the tour is titled “60+”, the 61-year-old Cheung shared that he wanted something simple. He elaborated that as a singer, he feels every album and performance represents a different stage in life.

The singer is fully embracing his age with the key visual of this tour featuring the singer with white roots peeking through his facial hair, a most ideal look he wants to sport currently.

Cheung, who is dubbed as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Hong Kong pop music, previously broke his personal record performing 233 shows on the "Jacky Cheung A Classic Tour" back in 2016. He last performed in Singapore in 2018.

“I try my best at every performance, and with each performance, I gain a little more. I am grateful and hearten by the immense support everyone has shown me," he said.

Water theme for concert

Cheung's concert tour will centre on the theme of water. He explained, "Water is full of possibilities. Regardless of the difficulties that lie ahead, no matter how tough the terrain might be, water will always find a way through and continue its flow."

He hopes the theme can encourage him to be as fluid as water and to always find the strength to push ahead.

Concert promoter Unusual Entertainment said it has already received multiple enquiries ever since news of Cheung’s concert tour was announced.

Its chief executive officer Leslie Ong said he is confident that concert dates will sell out swiftly and fans will be able to secure tickets, even though this is the first time it will be launching six shows all at once.

The Jacky Cheung 60+ Concert Tour will take place in Singapore at the Indoor Stadium over two weekends on 14,15,16 July and 21,22,23 July.

Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday (26 April) 10am, and are priced at $388, $328, $288, $208 and $168 excluding a $4 booking fee.

Tickets can be purchased via the hotline at 3158-8588 or on ticketmaster.sg. They are also available at all Singpost outlets islandwide. More information can be found on UnUsUal Limited's website.
