Hong Kong tops Asia’s 50 Best Bars list

From the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, The Ernest Hemingway-inspired The Old Man in Hong Kong cinched top spot on the list, although Singapore’s best bar Manhattan came in at a firm number two. Singapore found itself charging into the list with 11 bars, followed by Hong Kong coming a close second.

New York Fashion Week will be shortened

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has announced that the world’s biggest fashion week will be shortened from seven days, to five days, following criticisms for lack of relevance and logistical issues. Although new CFDA chairman Tom Ford is only slated to start his tenure on 1 June, he’s clearly getting a head start, after current leader Diane von Furstenberg announced she was stepping down from her post after 13 years.

Royal fab four come together to launch mental health helpline

Prince William and Prince Harry have been longtime advocates of mental health awareness. This time, they team up again with each other, as well as their respective other halves, to launch a text messaging helpline called Shout, that will support those going through a mental health crisis.

Detective Pikachu has nothing to do with Ash Ketchum

Fans of the original Pokémon franchise be warned, the new live-action Detective Pikachu does not include Ash Ketchum or any of his friends from the cartoon. Even Pikachu is different! However, it does stay true to the world that the original Pikachu is from. Here, the movie’s director Rob Letterman reveals why he made it different from the ones before.
