Hong Chao Feng says swelling is not cancer
21 Oct – Hong Kong television and radio personality Hong Chao Feng is now breathing a sigh of relief after the doctors revealed that his cancer has not recurred.
As reported on Singtao, the good news was shared by Hong through his Facebook post that he titled "False Alarm".
Said Hong, this doctor recently shared the result of his previous PET scan, which revealed that the swelling showed no indication of a malignant tumour.
"[The doctor] said that some people will find their lymph nodes swollen when they are having a cold or a flu. My lymph node is currently 1cm in size. As long as there is no further swelling and it doesn't hurt, there is no need to worry, though I have to keep observing it," he said.
Hong also expressed his gratitude to friends and fans for their well-wishes.
"Thank you for your support and encouragement. I am sorry for worrying everybody," he added.
Hong underwent surgery in December last year after being diagnosed with tongue cancer. Earlier this week, he expressed his concern over the swelling he felt on his neck, saying that there may be a possibility of a recurrence.
