Home-made Star Wars costume that turns boy into Luke Skywalker/tauntaun hybrid wins Halloween and breaks the internet

You can put your stitch and thread away. Because a devoted father’s home-made costume that has turned his 4-year-old son into both Luke Skywalker and a tauntaun is the best Halloween costume you’ll see this year.

It’s not just that, though, as footage of the outfit being used has also broken the internet. YouTube user Clint Case’s video of his young son wearing the perfect self-made outfit, which makes him look as though he’s riding the tauntaun as he walks, has gone viral.

The video has already amassed over 457,000 views, while the comments section has lit up with users registering their jealousy at the attire with many labelling the father responsible as a top notch patriarch.

But all isn’t quite right with the outfit, as it seems a little lopsided. This even provokes the dad to ask his son as he tries it out, “Is your tauntaun drunk?”

Considering that this is the first Halloween since the release of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, and with ‘Rogue One’ just around the corner, too, you can expect plenty trick or treaters to be wearing costumes inspired by the galaxy far, far away.

Fortunately the owner of the costume doesn’t appear to be based on the Planet Hoth, so there’s no need for him to slice up his tauntaun for warmth.
