SINGAPORE – Given the lockdown measures, some local beauty businesses have seen value in providing home-based services. Why? It provides the flexibility of accommodating to the customer's schedule instead of adhering to the operating hours of a shopping mall, for instance.

For new entrepreneurs, starting as a home-based business allows them to test their services in the market before sinking their capital with a retail outlet.

Tropika Club

Beauty-booking platform Tropika Club supports home call merchants with its Tropika Club Deals, where they onboard merchants for free and collect a success fee only when deal is closed.

Since its launch, the platform has listed over 3,500 listings of beauty, wellness, and fitness offerings for both women and men, and has partnered with some of Singapore’s biggest players including the Mary Chia Group, Avone Beauty, and many more.
