HK model journals experience after stranded in Wuhan since January

28 Feb – Hong Kong model Annabella Woo has recently started journaling her experience in Wuhan, after being trapped in the city for more than 30 days since the Chinese government sealed the city border following the outbreak of COVID-19.

As reported on Epoch Times, the young model who has been stuck in the Hubei capital after accompanying her boyfriend to the city prior to its border closing, shared details about the situation in the city through her posts that she titled "Diary from the Sealed City".

In a post dated 25 February, Annabella revealed that the village she currently resides has difficulties acquiring meat and can only buy vegetables, and even that she can't do herself. She stated that some neighbouring villagers had secretly gone out to buy vegetables and was caught doing so, and had since been detained for 14 days.

A few days ago, Annabella wrote that it had been nine days since she went to the supermarket, and that she had to join the village's online messaging group in order to order food as it was the only way for her to acquire it.

"Items are limited, so it's first come first served," she added.

She also emphasised that even if the closure order is lifted, she would still have to be quarantined for 14 days and not return to Hong Kong immediately.

"During this pandemic, you really see the truth and the ugliness of the human nature," she added.
