Hisyam Hamid wants to try antagonistic roles

27 Oct – He's popular for playing romantic characters but now Hisyam Hamid wants to try his hand at something new and is aiming for antagonistic roles.
The Singaporean-born actor said that as an actor, he doesn't want to keep playing the same roles over and over again, and would love to try out other characters, according to BH Online.
"I usually play romantic characters, so I wish to play a formidable and bad character. It would help cast aside the typical characters I often portray previously," said the actor.
"Except for now I haven't received any offer to play an antagonist. Some tell me it doesn't fit my looks."
The 31-year-old revealed that there are even fans who asked him not to accept any offers to play antagonists.
Hisyam, who gained famed through the drama series "Ariana Rose", said that as an actor, he has always had the intention to play different roles as it would test his own acting capabilities.
Currently, the actor can be seen starring opposite Amira Othman in the well-received drama, "Abang Bomba I Love You".
