Hi5SG is an initiative by the local F&B industry where over 100 independent cafes, hole-in-the-wall gastro-bars, cloud dining concepts and Michelin-starred restaurants in Singapore are offering special dining promotions while giving back to those in need - underprivileged whose lives have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are rolling out sweet deals themed around the number “5”, such as S$5 dishes and drinks, 55% off and S$55 set menus. A play on the current 5-pax dining rule, Hi5SG aims to support business recovery while honouring the need of safe distancing.
Over the campaign duration, all participating restaurants in Singapore will raise funds for the =DREAMS project. A secular, co-ed weekday residential model that provides after-school education and holistic support, =DREAMS aspires to create a child-centric holistic system of care. An initiative by the South Central Community Family Service Centre, =DREAMS empowers promising and deserving children who come from low-income households to break out of poverty and dream of a future where they are not limited by their family circumstances.
As one of the key activities in the SingapoRediscovers campaign, Hi5SG is really a win-win situation for the local F&B scene, for us diners, and for the beneficiaries!
