Henry Golding and wife Liv Lo welcome first child: “Our lives changed forever”

Crazy Rich Asians actor Henry Golding is officially a father!

Golding and wife Liv Lo shared on Instagram today (6 April) that the couple has welcomed their first child together last Wednesday (31 March).

On Lo’s Instagram, she shared a series of photos leading to childbirth and captioned it, “On 31 March our lives changed forever. Link in bio of leaving Instagram for #maternityleave (for the time being). I’ll prob be up during midnight breastfeeds checking in on you, but otherwise, “I’ll be back” xx”

In Golding’s post, he shared his love with his wife and thanked her for the journey. “This woman right here. Beyond anything, I could have ever imagined. Your strength brought us our greatest joy. Thank you, I love you,” he wrote, attaching a black and white photo of him and Lo staring down at their baby.

Lo, a yoga instructor, had written on her website FitSphere that she would be on maternity leave for the next 40 days. She shared that she is taking the six-week break as it “is the first postpartum exam with your OBGYN.” The new mother said that she is "not keen to get back to work or sharing with the world how I am feeling" until she receives the clearance from her obstetrician-gynaecologist.

The couple first shared the news of Lo’s pregnancy on Instagram in November 2020, and Lo had written about her miscarriage from early 2020 in a FitSphere post in December 2020.

Many celebrities such as Olivia Munn and Natasha Liu Bordizzo also congratulated the Crazy Rich Asian actor and wife via Golding’s Instagram. Golding has wrapped up his filming for Snake Eyes, which is due to release in October this year and is voicing Mr Hu for the animation, The Tiger’s Apprentice.
