17 Jul – Henry Golding just keeps nabbing role after role in Hollywood since starring in "Crazy Rich Asians" and he's set to lend his voice to an animated character next.

He will be voicing be the titular character of "The Tiger's Apprentice", according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The upcoming Paramount Animation film marks the feature directorial debut of Carlos Baena, a Pixar animator whose credits include "Toy Story 3", "Ratatouille" and "Finding Nemo".


It is an adaptation of the best-selling children's book published by HarperCollins in 2003, which follows a boy in San Francisco who meets Mr. Hu, a shape-shifting talking tiger. Under Hu's tutelage and protection, the boy is introduced into a magical world filled with wonders like an ancient phoenix and a dragon but also a clan of evil-doers.

"The Tiger's Apprentice" is slated for release in North America on 11 February 2022.

Golding's other Paramount title, "G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes" (or just "Snake Eyes" in some territories), is set to open in North American cinemas this 23 October. However, it remains to be seen whether the date will change considering the fact that most cinemas are still closed due to the pandemic.
