Heart Evangelista has no plans to run for office
22 Jul – She may be enjoying her role as the "first lady" of Sorsogon, but actress and wife of Governor Chiz Escudero, Heart Evangelista has no intention to become a politician herself.
As reported on Inquirer, the actress, who has been busy playing the part of a governor's wife - visiting patients in hospitals and experiencing the daily lives of the Sorsogon community, recently expressed that particular thought when asked by a fan on social media if she would run for government office.
"I don't need power or a position to help [people]. My answer is no. Not for me," she wrote.
Evangelista also recently shared a photo of her in a meeting with her politician husband, telling fans that they had been discussing plans for the future of the province.
"There is so much work to be done and I couldn't be more excited," she said.
The photo brought joy and praise from followers and netizens alike, with many complimenting the couple for being the perfect duo.
"You both give hope to many more politicians to worker harder for a cleaner and organize Philippines," said one netizen.
