It truly is the end of an era, if early reports are true.

According to royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah writing for The Sunday Times, Prince Harry and Prince William will reportedly split their royal households "within weeks." With Meghan Markle's due date fast approaching, and thought to be in late April, it's understandable that some major changes will be taking place before the baby is born.

Harry and Meghan are already due to move into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before the baby's birth, leaving behind their resident in Kensington Palace's Nottingham Cottage. The change of scenery is notable, especially as Kate Middleton and Prince William spend most of their time in their apartment in Kensington Palace.

Nikkhah reports that the princes will likely "part ways formally to create separate courts before the birth of Harry’s first child, due in April or May." Nikkhah also calls the "formal separation" a necessary step for the two families moving forward, especially as the brothers and their wives have very differing responsibilities.

As noted in The Sunday Times, the split is important as the couples look ahead to the future. When Prince Charles takes the throne one day, Prince William will take on the title of the Prince of Wales, and all of the added responsibility that goes with it. Conversely, Meghan and Harry won't be tied to the same formal arrangements as the Cambridges, and are "ambitious about forging their own paths," per Nikkhah.

A royal source also tells The Sunday Times, "William and Harry are working to make sure the Sussexes have an office that can support their family when they move to Frogmore this spring. This work has been under way since before last year’s wedding."

2019 is already a big year for the royals. But hopefully, we will see the Fab Four reunited once again.
