Harry Styles' sartorial choice of a sheep-patterned knitted vest has proved an unlikely hit with social media users.

The ‘One Direction’ star, 25, wore the wooly garment, which features fluffy white sheep, while out and about in New York City on Tuesday this week.

Styles wore the vest over a striped shirt with sleeves rolled up past the elbow, paired with baggy, suit-style trousers in a pinstripe pattern and buckled Gucci pale pink shoes.

He accessorised with a number of rings.

The look has since gone viral, with Twitter users commenting Styles looks “powerful and majestic” in the get-up, and claiming he might be one of the few who could pull it off.

We feel inclined to agree.

Some fans are also saying Harry is paying homage to Princess Diana’s “black sheep” jumper, which she was photographed in on two occasions in 1981 and 1983.

Styles’ jumper is a piece from high-end French designer label Lanvin’s Spring 2020 menswear collection.

While we don’t know the exact price, we hazard a guess it’s probably a little out of our price range. Most Lanvin knits cost in the region of £1,000.

Styles stepped out in another stellar print and knitwear combination later that day on an episode of US show ‘Saturday Night Live’.

He wore a checked white shirt under a red V-neck jumper, paired with a pair of pink plaid trousers.

Style ensures his wardrobe is carefully cared for. Earlier this year, designer Harris Reed, who has worked with Styles, revealed the singer keeps his clothes under 24-hour surveillance in a giant frozen vault.

“I can’t say where it is located, but everything goes to an archive. It’s basically like a giant refrigerator — a frozen vault — somewhere in London where I am not going to disclose,” the Central St. Martins graduate told British GQ.
