Okay, we’re officially stoked. Deadline just announced that a certain Harry Potter star will be coming to Nashville.

And this is pretty big news, considering we were pretty devastated when we thought that Nashville had been cancelled by ABC not all that long ago. Not only were we pretty dedicated to the characters such as Rayna Jaymes, Juliette Barnes, Deacon Claybourne, Scarlett O’Connor, and Gunnar Scott, but we were also super upset that we’d no longer have the show’s amazing soundtrack to obsess over.

So we’re SO stoked to learn that the country music drama had been picked up by cable network CMT. In fact, we totally got our lives when we saw the teaser trailer that was recently revealed.

Well, now even more details about Nashville have been revealed and it’s getting completely magical.

Christian Coulson, who played the one and only Dark Lord, aka he who must not be named, Tom Riddle, aka Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, is set to join Nashville as a recurring character.

Coulson will be joining Nashville as Damien George, a British director who turns up to film Gunnar and Scarlett’s first music video together. As Deadline state, the character will push those he works with to breaking point with his artistic vision. Exciting stuff!

Coulson, who has previously appeared in shows like The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, and Mozart in the Jungle, will be joined in the new season of Nashville by rising singer Bridgit Mendler, who plays a YouTuber and singer on the rise.

It was recently announced that Nashville would be returning to our screens for a two hour season premiere on January 5th on CMT.

That gives us just enough time to binge watch all previous four seasons, listen to all the soundtracks, and prepare ourselves for when our favorite country music TV show returns.
