21 Aug – "Hantu Kak Limah" continues to haunt the box office in Malaysia, this time setting yet another impressive record since its release on 9 August.

In just 11 days, the horror comedy has collected RM20.5 million at the box office, making it now the highest grossing local movie ever.

It breaks the record previously held by another Astro Shaw movie, the Skop Productions title "Abang Long Fadil 2", which took in RM19.04 million after 28 days of screening in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

This makes "Hantu Kak Limah" not only the highest grossing but also the fastest to reach the RM20 million milestone, doing so in less than two weeks.

Executive producer Dato' Khairul Anwar Salleh, Gayatri Su-lin and TP Lim, as well as director Mamat Khalid and the movie's cast and crew expressed their gratitude in a press statement, thanking Malaysian, Bruneian and Singaporean audiences, media and distributor for the movie's latest success.
