Hafiz Zainal halts singing, launches dental clinic

12 Jul –"Big Stage" alumnus Hafiz Zainal may not be getting a lot of singing gigs during the pandemic, but at least he has his dental clinic to fall back on.

The singer, who is a dentist first before making his singing debut through the third season of the said show, announced the launch of his own dental clinic earlier this month, saying that it has been a dream of his since he began his studies in Alexandria University in 2011.

Hafiz revealed to Berita Harian that he invested RM500,000 with his business partner to open the clinic in Bukit Jalil, aptly named ToothSuite Dental Clinic.

"I panicked after hearing about phase one of the National Recovery Plan. But I am thankful that the clinic is able to resume operations, though still within the SOP. So it didn't affect us much," he said. "My business partner and I are always optimistic, and we have a big dream of expanding our dental business."

Hafiz said that he has no plans to stop when it comes to the three passions in his life - dentistry, music and business.

"No matter what happens, I will continue to perform. I believe that everybody in the music industry is frustrated and wants to perform in front of the public. But we have to accept the fact and pray that the pandemic situation will end soon," he said.
