Gwendoline Christie slays another red carpet: The GOT star's best looks to date

While you may recognise Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth, one of Westeros’ most fearsome swordmasters in the hit HBO TV show Game of Thrones, the actress is actually something of a fashion icon outside the green room.

The gymnast-turned-model-turned-actress has not only made a name for herself in Hollywood, but has become a red carpet sensation over the years thanks to her stand-out looks.

And for her latest appearance, she didn’t disappoint.

The Game of Thrones actress arrived at the 2019 BFI Film Festival red carpet wearing a hypnotic couture gown as she led the glamour for the opening gala premiere for ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’.

The 40-year-old was joined on the red carpet by her co-star, former Slumdog Millionnaire actor Dev Patel.

But, all eyes were on Gwendoline as she turned heads wearing a striking Aeriform dress by Iris van Herpen featuring a dramatic ombre effect.

The breathtaking dress is from the label’s autumn/winter 2019 couture collection and features an off-the-shoulder neckline, sheer panels and a dramatic ombre effect.

Gwendoline styled her structured dress with a pair of red, pointed shoes and wore her blonde hair slicked back. A pop of red lipstick completed the look.

It’s not the first time the Game of Thrones star has stolen the show at a red carpet event. Last month, at the 2019 Emmys, the actress wore a glorious Arthurian cream and white Gucci gown which fans hilariously compared to “Jesus”.

So, to pay homage to one of our favourite warrior, we’ve compiled some of the actress’ best red carpet looks to date.
