Ever since Katy Perry released “Rise,” the new 2016 Olympics single has been giving us all the girl power inspo we need and then some. Fortunately, there are members of the male population out there who also have an undying appreciation for her song, namely this guy who performed an interpretive remix and dance to “Rise” and totally killed it. Seriously, it might be the best thing we’ve seen all day.

This oddly inspirational take on Perry’s hit song comes courtesy of actor/singer/songwriter Ben Ryan Metzger. Based on his website and this performance, he did not come to play games with us. In fact, his intense “Rise” rendition should be required pre-competition viewing for all U.S. Olympians because we seriously don’t see how they couldn’t get pumped about slaying their opponents after witnessing Metzger give Perry’s song his all.

His shoulder choreography is impeccable:

These Michael Jackson-esque spins are giving us so much life.

Also, his ability to balance and dance on one leg is just downright impressive:

Did he go in or what?

Check out Metzger’s full dance and vocal performance below and don’t be afraid to let yourself become overwhelmed with inspiration:
