'Guardians of the Galaxy 2': If You Thought the Teaser Trailer Was Fun, Wait Until You See the Lego Version

We still haven’t seen a full trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (in theaters May 5, 2017), so why not watch the first teaser trailer again… in Lego form? Animator Huxley Berg has created a brick-based version of the Guardians 2 teaser, starring a shaggy-haired Chris Pratt minifigure and featuring a teeny-tiny Groot cameo. Posted on Saturday, Berg’s trailer remake has already received the ultimate endorsement: Guardians 2 writer-director James Gunn has tweeted the link. Watch the Lego trailer above and compare to the original, below.

The Guardians 2 teaser arrived in October, along with Gunn’s promise that the first full-length trailer for the Marvel movie was “coming soon.” Fan speculation that the trailer would premiere before Doctor Strange turned out to be unfounded, but with more holiday movies dropping — including fellow Disney production Rogue One: A Star Wars Storythere may be an opportunity to see more toddler Groot before the new year. Still-unreleased footage shown at Comic-Con this summer also featured new characters played by Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone.
