‘Grey’s’ Alum Sandra Oh Returns to ABC, Joins ‘American Crime’ Season 3

Sandra Oh is checking back into ABC, signing on to co-star in the new season of American Crime.

The Grey’s Anatomy alum — who exited the medical drama in Season 10 — will recur during Season 3 of the John Ridley anthology, which will be set in North Carolina and focus on labor issues, economic divides and individual rights. Oh will play Abby Tanaka, a social worker at a local shelter who has dedicated her life to helping domestic abuse victims.

Oh, whose casting was first reported by THR.com, joins an ensemble that includes returning Crime vets Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Regina King, Lili Taylor and Connor Jessup, as well as Transparent‘s Cherry Jones.
