Gretchen Barretto on defending Nicko Falcis
25 Mar – Gretchen Barretto recently stressed that she is just defending Nicko Falcis for what she believe is fact.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who has been Falcis' most vocal supporter since Kris Aquino filed a qualified theft case against her aforementioned former business manager, stated that she will stand for what is right.
"I am not saying that I am the purest person on earth, but what right is right. Even if you are my friend, when you are wrong, you are wrong," she said.
At the same time, Barretto also hinted that her decision to side with Falcis may have something to do with the past.
"You do something to me today, I may not react to it now. I may react many years later," she said, adding that this is the time that she felt like she could react.
"For the longest time, [Kris] had the power and she did everything she wanted."
It is noted that Barretto previously expressed her support for Falcis and even threw a thanksgiving party for him when one of the qualified theft cases against him were dismissed.
She also accused Aquino of using her influence to help a friend get away from her tax problem. Aquino had since denied this allegation.
