"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" is Luna Awards' Best Picture

2 Dec – Jerrold Tarog's "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" won Best Motion Picture at the recently held 37th Luna Awards.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the movie, which stars Paulo Avelino as the youngest general of the Philippine-American War, Gregorio del Pilar, bested other contenders including "Signal Rock" and "Liway" to win the said award at the event held on 30 November.

On the other hand, Tarog, who wasn't nominated in the Best Director category, did return home with Best Musical Score for the said movie, which also won Best Sound.

However, two of its cast, Epy Quizon and Carlo Aquino, who were nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category, lost to Arjo Atayde of "Buy Bust".
