Crossovers between films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been coming fast and furious, with a certain Master of the Mystic Arts and the Asgardian God of Thunder the latest pairing (Doctor Strange and Thor).
That’s not really been the case with the MCU’s TV offerings, but things might change if “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn and actor Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin on Netflix’s “Daredevil”) get their way.
It started with D’Onofrio tweeting on Wednesday (7 Dec) that “Guardians of the Galaxy” was up there as one of his favourite Marvel films, and that he expected Gunn to top it with the second movie.
Gunn, being ever the gentleman, thanked him, and D’Onofrio followed it up by saying he was “ready to play some far far out crazy character” in the third film.
The director tweeted back, replying that the two had to “do something together soon”.
“Kingpin Vs Baby Groot?” Gunn added.
And I love your stuff man. We must do something together soon. Kingpin Vs Baby Groot? (Or maybe something else.) https://t.co/xGEDDeXz1M

With the popularity of the MCU’s Netflix series (“Daredevil”, “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage” and the upcoming “Iron Fist”), it might be time for some of the characters from these shows to make their big screen appearances.
And if anyone can make it happen, it’s James Gunn.
