Gordon Ramsay’s New Company Names Chris Brogden As Chief Creative Officer

Studio Ramsay, the independent production company launched in April by popular chef, TV personality and producer Gordon Ramsay, has made a key hire, naming Chris Brogden as Chief Creative Officer. Brogden, who will start in October and be based in London, will be tasked with expanding Studio Ramsay’s slate in both the UK and US across traditional, digital, subscription, and mobile platforms, with focus on entertainment format development.

For unscripted and scripted TV programs, Studio Ramsay has a joint venture with All3Media, whose Layla Smith (CEO of All3Media’s Objective Media Group) and Greg Lipstone (CEO of All3Media America) have worked with the company in the UK and U.S., respectively, including handling creative in the interim, until Brogden is brought in.

Brogden comes from Tinopolis, where he was Creative Director of Entertainment for the past year and a half. He previously executive produced such series as I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! for ITV, The Games for Channel 4, Maestro for BBC and Celebrity Big Brother for Endemol, before joining Sky as Entertainment Commissioner in 2013, where his credits included Wild Things, Coldplay: Ghost Stories and Relatively Clever. At Tinopolis, Brogden was responsible for the development of entertainment formats across Tinopolis’ 17 UK and U.S. companies including Firecracker and Mentorn Media. He recently was
instrumental in bringing Robot Wars back to the BBC.

“Chris has a wealth of knowledge in the unscripted arena, and an energy and enthusiasm that falls right in line with our dynamic team,” Ramsay said.

Ramsay is behind three successful unscripted franchises at Fox, where he has been under a deal: Hell’s Kitchen; Kitchen Nightmares, which ended a 10-year UK/U.S. run last year; MasterChef and its successful offshoot, MasterChef Jr. Additionally, he produces Bravo’s Best New Restaurant and Food Network’s competition series Food Court Wars. In the U.K. he’s produced Gordon Ramsay Behind Bars and Gordon Ramsay’s Great Escape for Channel 4; and My Kitchen for UKTV’s Good Food Channel, among others.
