Gordon Lam: Don't say I'm a better son than Nicholas Tse!
3 Aug - Gordon Lam has dismissed the notion that he was a better "son" to veteran actor Patrick Tse than the actor's own son, Nicholas Tse.
The actor, who spoke to Mingpao recently, addressed his appearance alongside the "Time" actor on stage when Patrick accepted his accolade for Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards, saying that he still keeps in touch with the latter and would make occasional dinner appointments.
When mentioned that some netizens are now calling him "Gordon Tse" for how kindly he treated Patrick compared to Nicholas, Gordon responded, "Don't say that. It was Nicholas who contacted me and asked me to look after his father."
"Besides, as his junior and also one of the producers of "Time", of course it's my duty to take care of Patrick," he added with a smile.
The actor also dismissed rumours of Patrick's waning health, after the veteran actor seemed to have a bit of trouble coming up the stage.
"He was wearing a suit all night, of course it's less flexible... he's always in good spirits whenever I see him," he added.
