The Good Place: Adam Scott Set to Guest-Star in Multiple Episodes
Here’s some good news for The Good Place: Adam Scott is set to guest-star on the NBC freshman comedy.
In fact, the Parks and Recreation alum will appear in multiple episodes, according to Entertainment Weekly. No details yet on the character Scott is playing — another God-like architect like Ted Danson’s Michael? A replacement guide for the rebooting Janet? — but we’ll find out soon enough: Scott makes his first appearance in next Thursday’s episode (8:30/7:30c).

The casting is a reunion of sorts, since Parks and Rec showrunner Michael Schur is the creator of The Good Place. (Scott played dorky accounting whiz Ben Wyatt for six seasons on Parks.) Scott has made recent appearances on TBS’s Angie Tribeca and IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang!, and he’s also set to co-star alongside Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon in HBO’s 2017 miniseries Big Little Lies.
Meanwhile, The Good Place is doing, well, pretty good for NBC so far, debuting to critical acclaim and solid ratings on Thursday nights. Its first season is already set for 13 episodes; no word yet on a second-season renewal.
