Golden Horse Awards: Singapore's "A Land Imagined" win two awards

25 Nov – Singapore movie, "A Land Imagined" recently won two accolades at the Golden Horse Awards.

As reported on CNA, the movie, which tells the story of a detective investigating the disappearance of migrant workers, won Best Original Screenplay for screenwriter and director Yeo Siew-hua, as well as Best Original Film Song for Teo Wei-yong.

The movie is also Singapore's entry to the 92nd Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, competing with other films around the world including India's "Gully Boy", Spain's "Pain and Glory", as well as Japan's "Weathering With You".

"A Land Imagined" previously won the Golden Leopard and Best Actress awards at the Locarno International Film Festival.
