Godfrey Gao denies engagement rumours
15 Feb – Taiwanese-born Canadian model-actor Godfrey Gao has denied rumours that he has secretly popped the question to alleged girlfriend Bella.
As reported on Kwongwah, the actor who has been romantically linked to the 21-year-old non-showbiz lass after Bella posted several pictures of his dog Theodore on Instagram, reportedly got engaged to her in July last year.
It was also reported that the two of them started dating after being introduced to each other by former basketball player Mao Jia-en.
However, when asked about it recently, Godfrey's manager denied the engagement rumours, saying that the actor has been busy with work.
"He has been focusing on his career in China last year, and has just returned home recently. He will be filming another project soon. When he is not filming, he will be resting in his hotel room. He has no time to develop any relationship," said the manager.
However, his rep admitted that Godfrey has several friends that he talks to, though their relationships are not at the level that calls for an engagement.
