Glaiza de Castro to star in "Nagbabagang Luha" remake

16 Feb – Now that she has renewed her contract with GMA, Glaiza de Castro will be starring in the network's upcoming adaptation of Ishmael Bernal's hit 80s movie, "Nagbabagang Luha" ("Smouldering Tears").

As reported on GMA News, the actress will play the role of Maita, who finds that her husband has not only taken her child away following their divorce, but has also fallen in love with her own sister.

The original film stars Lorna Tolentino in the role.

The series will also mark de Castro's first collaboration with Rayver Cruz, who will play the role of her husband Alex. The original role was played by Gabby Concepcion.

Aside from the two actors, the upcoming project will also star Mike Tan, Myrtle Sarrosa, Karenina Haniel, Royce Cabrera, as well as Diego Castro's daughter and rising star Claire Castro.

Shooting has started on 15 February.
