Gillian Chung undergoes second procedure for head injury
10 Sep – Following her first treatment in Xiamen over an injury sustained after a fall, it was revealed that Gillian Chung has recently undergone another operation.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress' manager Mani Fok revealed that they had went to see a plastic surgeon introduced by actor Simon Yam - who re-sutured the three-layer wound after finding out that it went much deeper upon examination.
Gillian even received 66 stitches on the first layer of the skin alone.
Mani stated that due to the fact that this particular procedure was done by the head of a top cosmetic surgery department, she hopes that it would minimise Gillian's scars as much as possible. They also thanked Simon for the recommendation.
"The wound was deep and it really broke my heart seeing it. But her brain scan revealed that everything is fine. Gillian has not vomited within the first 24 hours," she said.
The singer is currently in stable condition and will be resting in her hotel room while the wound heals.
Gillian was rushed to the hospital in the wee morning of 7 September after she collapsed on the way to the bathroom at her hotel room in Xiamen, injuring her head in the process.
