Gigi Leung takes daughter off school to prevent flu
16 Feb – Although the Hong Kong government has ordered schools to close from Thursday before Lunar New Year holiday to stop the transmission of the winter flu, Gigi Leung recently revealed that she has already taken daughter Sofia off school since a week ago.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at a Dior event alongside fellow colleague Charlie Young recently, shared that she has taken extra precautions to ensure that her daughter will remain healthy throughout the flu season.
"Every parent has to make their own decisions. We have also obeyed the doctor's advice in preventing such a situation," she said.
When asked of her opinion regarding the controversial recording of Kay Tse telling friends misinformation about flu shots, Gigi stated that it's normal for mothers to open up dialogues about such matter; although in Kay's defense, it was leaked by irresponsible people.
"I would also discuss things about children with other friends, but we meet each other in person instead of a group chat. We would share nutritional menus and healthy diets to help enhance the immune system," she said.
