Ghostbusters fans set new Guinness World Record in Singapore

Ghostbusters director Paul Feig said, “Seeing this many people get their ghost on and set a Guinness World Records title is a true testament to this amazing franchise that Dan, Harold and Ivan created 32 years ago. Fortunately, I ain’t afraid of no ghosts because we were up to our armpits in them. Ghostbusters of the world, gear up!”

Fans of the popular Ghostbusters franchise turned up at the red carpet on Sunday (12 June) at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands dressed as ghosts.

A total of 263 people in ghost costumes set a new Guinness World Records title for the “Largest Gathering Of People Dressed As Ghosts At A Single Venue”.

The movie, a reboot of the 1984 original Ghostbusters film, was directed by Paul Feig, who walked the red carpet together with star Melissa McCarthy. The movie also features comedic talents Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and actor Chris Hemsworth.
