“How to get to Sesame Street?”, as the evergreen theme song from the well-loved television series goes. One way is to head to Singapore’s Changi Airport where you can get up close with the beloved children’s characters from the world-famous street like Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch from Friday (9 March) onwards.

For a start, at the “Our Street to Yours Sesame Street” pop-up exhibition, which will run from 9 March to 1 May in Terminal 3, visitors can walk through thematic zones and favourite scenes from the TV series to cheer up Oscar the Grouch or snap a photo with Big Bird at his nest.

James Fong, Vice President for Landside Concession at Changi Airport Group, said, “For many of us, Sesame Street was a significant part of our childhood and we grew up learning with these lovable characters. We are delighted to partner with Sesame Street to create fun, endearing and interactive spaces for the children that would also bring nostalgic delight for their parents.”

There will also be a 30-metre long inflatable Sesame Street playground in Terminal 3 from 9 March to 8 April before it is set up in Terminal 4 from 25 May to 1 July. Children can go down a 4.7-metre tall slide leading to a huge ball pit or navigate their way through inflatable obstacles like tunnels, a ladder and a climbing wall.

Children can also play with thematic colouring and sticker Sesame Street books while their parents dine in the restaurants at the airport. They can collect Sesame Street stickers at participating restaurants or any Information or Customer Service counters in the public areas of Terminal 1, 2, 3 and 4.

There will also be more Sesame Street-themed activities during the the June holidays, and in September and October to coincide with Children’s Day celebrations. More details will be announced at a later date.
