If there’s anything that Singaporeans love more than food, it’s definitely free food.

Foodies can look forward to a range of rice dumplings and kacang puteh treats at the upcoming Festivals @ Chinatown Rice Dumpling Tasting Festival on 6 May from 2pm to 5pm.

Visitors will also be entertained with a variety of stage games, goodie bag giveaways, and free photo-taking opportunities at the event’s fun photo booth. Five lucky visitors will also walk away with NTUC vouchers when they take part in the event’s wishing boat segment.

Put on by the Chinatown Business Association, the event hopes to support food and brands that are made in Singapore, as well as promoting Chinatown’s heritage.

Chairman of the Chinatown Business Association Bernard Leong said, “We want to continue to bring families, locals and tourists to Chinatown to celebrate the culture and heritage of the various festivals.”

“With the advent of different events in the coming months, we hope to enhance the branding of participants and enrich the event content in Chinatown while building brand equity for retailers and restaurants in Singapore,” he continued.
