Gerard Butler returns for "Den of Thieves" sequel


Gerard Butler returns as Big Nick in the confirmed "Den of Thieves" sequel.

14 Feb – A "Den of Thieves" sequel has been confirmed, reuniting original cast members and director Christian Gudegast.

The Tucker Tooley and Mark Canton produced movie will see Gerard Butler and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson reprise their roles for yet another heist, as reported by Deadline.

O'Shea Jackson Jr., who played Donnie, is still in negotiations regarding his return for the follow-up.


The second instalment of the "Den of Thieves" movie series will be set in Europe, with Big Nick (Butler) going after Donnie, who, along with the infamous Panther mafia, is plotting a heist of the biggest diamond exchange in the world.


Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson also returns as one of the robbers, Levi Enson.

"Den of Thieves" was released just recently in January 2018 with a current worldwide gross of USD57 million, which is expected to grow as it has yet to premiere in 11 more countries.

The first movie follows a gang of thieves planning to rob a bank in Los Angeles while an elite unit of the county's Sheriff's Department looks to cease their illegal activities.
