Gerald Anderson liked a post about being misjudged
23 Jul – Gerald Anderson has fuelled speculations of a troubled relationship with Bea Alonzo by liking a post on Instagram about being misjudged.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actor liked a post shared by a fan account on 21 July, which read, "Let people judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you. What they think of you isn't your problem. Their opinions do not pay your bills."
"So you stay kind, committed to love, and free in your authenticity, and no matter what they do or say... never doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth. You keep on shining and let the haters hate."
Fans of the actor also rallied behind him, with one writing, "They can endlessly say how evil you are for whatever reasons. But nothing of this will change my mind on how think of you."
Anderson's name became a trending topic earlier following a post shared by girlfriend Bea Alonzo which read, "You can't make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it's not a mistake anymore, it's a choice."
While Alonzo has not addressed the person she was referring to in the post, many speculated that it had something to do with Anderson's close friendship with his "Between Maybes" leading lady, Julia Barretto.
Celebrity friends had also taken to the comments section to express their support. Camille Prats wrote, "Sending lots of love your way", while Dawn Zulueta posted, "Love and light, [Bea]. Love and light."
Kris Aquino also wrote in the comments, "I had to check on you. Thank you for replying. I'm your Ate for life who will always love you & care about you."
