Now with a whopping 3.9 million followers, the Genshin Impact official Twitter account continues to rack up hundreds of thousands of interactions with its fanbase through character reveals, character birthday greetings, event announcements, and many more.

And just like when Genshin Impact took the crown for Most Tweeted About Game of 2021, the game's official character reveals still take the cake for most interactions generated.

The 5-star Hydro bow character Yelan’s character reveal on 28 March generated over 242,000 interactions from players, in the form of likes, replies, retweets, and quote tweets across the two reveal tweets.

The 4-star Electro sword character Kuki Shinobu’s reveal, which was released alongside Yelan’s reveal on the same day, also received well over 196,000 total interactions.

However, the biggest character reveal was undoubtedly that of Kamisato Ayato on 4 February. The Inazuma 5-star Hydro sword wielder is the head of the Yashiro Commission and older brother to Kamisato Ayaka.

His reveal tweets garnered well over 261,000 interactions from ecstatic fans that have been waiting for his release since being mentioned in earlier events and quests that include the Kamisato family.

More recent reveals from have also garnered a lot of attention.

On Monday (11 June), the Genshin Impact Twitter account officially revealed the first batch of characters from Sumeru, the game's new region coming in version 3.0.

These new characters include 5-star Dendro bow character Tighnari, 4-star Dendro bow character Collei, and 4-star Electro bow character Dori.

Shortly after the new Sumeru character reveals, the Genshin Impact Twitter account dropped another bombshell when it suddenly unveiled the remaining Fatui Harbingers in a teaser video titled “Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night’s Lazzo”.

The hype around Genshin Impact has never been higher, so it's no wonder why it continues to be the most tweeted about game on Twitter.

The game is currently in version 2.8, but fans are already looking forward to version 3.0, which will see the release of a new region, Sumeru, and a new element, Dendro.

The developers have already released a teaser for the new element, Dendro, and the elemental reactions it will bring to the game's element system. Aside from a new element, Sumeru will surely bring new landscapes, characters, perils, and adventures to the Traveler.

Should version 2.8 have the same 40-day duration as all other versions, then Genshin Impact version 3.0 should come out on 22 August.
