Garang Grill By New Ubin Seafood: Pop-Up In Singapore Serving Fiercely Delicious Dishes Till 31 May ’17
If you’ve enjoyed New Ubin Seafood’s zi char food, you’re not the only one. After receiving an inclusion in the Michelin Bib Gourmand Guide 2016, it has moved to a new outlet at Hillview Avenue. Now, it even has a new pop-up, Garang Grill, located at Swan Lake Avenue until 31 May 2017.
Garang means ‘fierce’ in Malay, and that’s exactly what head chef Jeremy Cheok from Slake wants to serve: fierce and bold flavours created through the use of charcoal.
Certain dishes served here pay homage to the food at New Ubin Seafood, but with a different concept.
If you need any other reason to head down to Garang Grill, the dishes are cooked in a $16,000 Spanish charcoal grill oven. You definitely need to try the food out for yourself and see how it compares to traditional charcoal grills!
