This New ‘Game of Thrones’ Theory Will Have You Fearing for Tyrion Lannister’s Life

From Cosmopolitan

  • The Battle of Winterfell is officially over, but that doesn’t mean your favorite characters are safe.

  • This new Game of Thrones theory suggests Tyrion Lannister will die in the most “welp” way possible.

Major Game of Thrones spoilers are coming, so, like, please just watch the show already.

Now that the Battle of Winterfell is over, it’s time to set our sights on King’s Landing and the inevitable battle of Cersei Lannister (and anyone she can pay off) vs. everybody else. Right now, it’s hard to tell who has the best chance at survival, but this new fan theory will really make you think Tyrion Lannister will die in the worst way.

According to a theory by The Independent, Tyrion will die via an arrow through the heart. Here’s their reasoning: In season 4, Tyrion killed his insufferable father, Tywin Lannister, with a crossbow while Tywin was using the restroom. It was truly savage, and The Independent is convinced this will come back to haunt him. The theory points out how many characters in Thrones history die the same way they killed others. For example, Olenna Tyrell poisoned Joffrey Baratheon, which is the same way Jaime Lannister killed her. Ned Stark beheaded a Night’s Watch guy and was later taken out in the same way. So Tryion might want to consider barricading the door every time he needs to use the restroom.

TBH, if this happens, after I scream from pure frustration, my following reaction will be, “Welp. Guess we all saw that one coming.” Which is not how Tyrion deserves to go out! If he remains loyal to Daenerys Targaryen, then he needs to go out with some dignity, like Theon Greyjoy. RIP.

Of course, lots of people kill people on this show, and just because Tyrion killed his dad doesn’t mean he’ll definitely die in the same way or at all before the show ends. If that were the case, Daenerys’s dragons would need to turn on her, Arya Stark would need the Night King to come back and do a sneak attack, and Cersei would need someone to find a ton of wildfire to use on her.

Ultimately, this show is so insane that you just never know what will happen. Anyone else going into episode 4 like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ?
